Mike Pallone

Dr. Mike Pallone, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Mike Pallone has served pets and their families since 2001. Raised in a small Arkansas community, he built his veterinary career around a lifelong connection to animals and the people responsible for their care. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

As both a veterinarian and pet owner, Dr. Pallone understands that good medical care must account for the relationship between an animal and its family. He approaches dogs and cats with compassion, patience, and respect while helping owners understand their pets’ needs. His work at Out West Veterinary Center reflects the clinic’s commitment to providing comprehensive care in a familiar, community-centered setting.

Karen Pallone

Dr. Karen Pallone, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Karen Pallone is a veterinarian at Out West Veterinary Center, where she helps provide compassionate medical care for dogs and cats in Conway. As part of a family-owned veterinary practice, she supports an approach centered on thoughtful treatment, honest communication, and respect for the connection between pets and their families.

Dr. Pallone contributes to the clinic’s commitment to caring for pets through every stage of life. Whether a patient visits for preventive care, diagnostic testing, treatment for an illness, or help with an unexpected medical concern, she works alongside the veterinary staff to support clear and coordinated care.

John G. Nilz

Dr. John G. Nilz, DVM

Veterinarian

A native of Clark County, Arkansas, Dr. John G. Nilz earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. His career began in mixed-animal practice and later expanded to corporate and regulatory medicine. His professional background also includes small-animal care, surgery, emergency medicine, teaching, and emergency response and management.

Dr. Nilz has served as Arkansas State Veterinarian with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture, bringing a broad understanding of animal health and public responsibility to his clinical work. At Out West Veterinary Center, he returns to the direct relationships at the heart of veterinary medicine: caring for individual pets and communicating with the families who know them best.

He values the opportunity to provide compassionate, high-quality care for dogs and cats while contributing his varied experience to challenging and everyday cases alike.

Tara

Practice Manager

Tara began her veterinary medicine career in 2005 and has served as practice manager at Out West Veterinary Center since 2024. She is passionate about mentoring staff and creating a supportive environment where pets, clients, and coworkers receive the attention they need.

Her role centers on helping the clinic operate thoughtfully while encouraging a culture of communication, accountability, and compassionate care. Away from work, Tara enjoys spending time with her dogs, chickens, and horse. Her dedication to animals and people makes her an important part of the clinic’s leadership.

Alison

Assistant Manager

Alison began her career in vet med in 2015 and has been part of the OWVC team since the clinic opened in 2019. Ali stepped into the role of assistant manager in 2024 and enjoys supporting both the team and the clients who trust Out West with their pets. Outside of work, Alison has three dogs and two chickens, and she truly loves being able to work with animals every day.

Liz has been a caring member of the Out West Veterinary team since 2024, and she serves as one of our supervisors. Liz enjoys learning and is always eager to grow in her role here at Out West Veterinary Center. At home, she has two cats and a dog, and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Supervisor

Madi joined OWVC in 2024 and serves as one of our supervisors. Her love for animals started while growing up on a farm. She has wanted to work in vet med since she was a kid. Outside of work, Madi enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs that she absolutely loves. Her passion for animals and caring personality make her a wonderful part of our team.
